SUMMER READING Bingo

June 22nd thru August 27th

  1. Sign up in the Children's Room
  2. Get a Bingo Card
  3. Check out some great books
  4. Track activities on your Bingo Card

Whenever you complete a Bingo row, bring your card into the Children's Room and receive a Bingo Buck Coupon. Use your Bingo Buck for one free book from the Friends of the Library Children's Book Nook.

5 Bingo rows = 5 free books AND a special certificate!

Complete the entire Bingo Card and enter the raffle for a special prize!

Children's department

Bears

The Children's Department has materials for children from birth through fifth grade, including books, audiobooks, DVDs, CDs, Wii and DS games, magazines, puzzles, and puppets. We also provide two computers with filters for internet use, three iPads loaded with early literacy apps, and a listening station for storybook recordings.

A fun new science experiment every week!

Gr.1-5, limited to 30 kids each week.
Free tickets begin 30 minutes prior.

Library Labs will be held outside and will be canceled in the event of rain.

LEGO Challenge

Wednesdays, 7/8 to 8/26
3:30-4:30pm

We'll bring the Legos, you bring the imagination!

Gr.K-5, no registration needed.

Lego Challenge will take place in the Town Hall Multipurpose Room.

Tech Take Apart

Thursdays, 7/16 to 8/13
7:00-8:00pm

Have fun dismantling technology!

Gr.3-5, limited to 12 kids each week.
Free tickets begin 30 minutes prior.

Sciencetellers

Monday, 8/3
3:30pm

Great stories, awesome science. Things aren't always what they seem--especially when superpowers are involved!

Grades K-5. Free tickets begin 30 minutes prior to each performance.

Show will take place in the Town Hall Multipurpose Room.

Family Music with Sarah

Tuesday, 8/4
10:30-11:15am

Sarah is a favorite for young children. She brings lots of instruments and great songs for the whole family.

All ages, no registration needed.

End of Summer Bash: Toe Jam Puppet Band

Thursday, 8/27
6:00pm party
6:30pm concert

Everyone is invited for our end-of-summer bash! First a popsicle party, tattoos, and awards, then music on the lawn with the fantastic Toe Jam Puppet Band.
