Kids’ Events
We offer a variety of children’s events including storytimes, music programs, crafts, science events, movie showings and more. Check our online calendar for a complete list of our events. The Children’s Department serves children through 5th grade. If your child has finished 5th grade, be sure to check out the teen events serving middle school and high school students.
Weekly Storytimes
Weekly Storytimes are on hiatus until July. Summer Reading kicks off June 20.
Stories on the Lawn: Tuesdays at 10 AM | July 7 – August 18
Family Storytime heads outside for the summer. Children (ages 0-5) and their caregivers are invited to join us on the library lawn for stories, songs, rhymes and more. There is no ticketing or registration for outdoor storytime. Storytime may move indoors due to weather. Check our online calendar for updates.
Pre-K Storytime: Fridays at 11 AM | July 10 – August 21
Children of the K26 & K27 classes and their caregivers can join Rachel weekly for storytime. All of storytimes help develop early literacy skills. Pre-K storytime also focuses on school readiness including listening skills and taking turns through longer stories, flannel boards, rhymes and songs.
Registration required via our online calendar. Sign up each week you can/want to attend PreK Storytime. Registration will open one week before storytime. It will remain open up until storytime begins, unless registration fills.
