Art Work by BHS Students

Here is a sample of of student work from Bedford High School Art students. Work ranges from acrylic painting and mixed media to digital art created in Photoshop and printed. Students at the high school enjoy a wide variety of visual art courses, including ceramics, art (a traditional media class), art explorations, darkroom photography, digital art and, new for next year, digital photography. The Bedford Education Foundation has made the new digital class a possibility by generously funding the student cameras in the new course.

Thanks to the following students for allowing the Library to display their art: Claire S., Sophia W., LB T., Marcie H., Sunny H., Gus W., Mack W., and Julia S.

Pop-Up Art School for Kids

It’s a paint day event for kids!

All kids aged 8-12 years old are invited to join the Pop up Art School for a hands on workshop to paint a shimmering “Tree of Life” in the style of Gustav Klimt. The workshop will begin with slides and an overview of the artist and his work. Follow along with step-by-step instructions to make your own version of a tree with spiraling branches.

The fun begins this Saturday, January 27th, from 10:30am to 12:00pm.
